Complete Alberto Barreña Saddle - Work/Trail / Show - $1,200
This saddle was purchased new and shipped to me from Peru about 5 years ago. I loved this particular saddle
because I could use it for Bozal classes and then be able to use it for bit classes. Very comfy and versatile. I used it for
one show season and then it has been used off and on since. It has been stored in a heated tack room on a saddle rack when not in use. Also, it has been cleaned and oiled throughout the years so it is in excellent condition.
The saddle is constructed like a work saddle, but the entire saddle is covered with smooth and stamped leather in the
traditional flower design. The cantle and pommel have a band of silver that dresses the saddle making it ready for the show ring. The pellonera is also decorated on the edges with the same flower stamped leather.The guarnición is intact and in great condition. The florón lays flat and has decorative silver buttons and also has the matching leather stamped flower detail. The crupper and retrancas are aslo in great condition. The saddle blanket is the traditional Peruvian blanket but has the added brown edging to prevent unraveling and blends nicely under the saddle. The carona also is decorated with the flower stamped leather. The corona sits flat under the saddle and is formed to fit this
saddle now.
I purchased a set of leather stirrups that also match the flower design and are barely used and I have a set of wooden
stirrups that are NEW that have the matching leather flower stamp on the inside surface. The saddle has the signature AB silver buttons, and just the perfect mix of functionality and flash. You can go from the the trail, to bozal to the Champion of
Champion show ring.
